ERIE-O MOTEL

Welcome to the Erie-O Motel & Marina in Erieau Ltd. Formerly known as The Erieau Motel & Marina and prior to that was the Johnsons Motel and Marina.  This place was originally Built by The Brown Family and known as Brown's Motel & Marina with B & B Baits right next door.  Each of the rooms we're properly planned out when they built it,  to provide it like a one bedroom apartment layout, perfect for families. An area has been added for our Trailer rental friends offering, hydro and sewage hook-ups. Luscious gardens, and a peaceful and relaxing outdoor common area are also a part of our unique property. Most recently we've added an outdoor deck space for out guests to relax, BBQ and play some outdoor pool!

The Motel is now under new management and ownership as of Dec 21st 2018 with ourselves, Paul Renaud and Bridget Chippett being the new owners of the Erie-O.

We’re extremely grateful for this gift, of having the amazing opportunity to own such a beautiful and unique vacation spot here in Erieau, Ontario.

Over the years, we’ve been regular vacationers at the Erieau Motel. During our stays we relaxed on the Erieau beach and walked the pier, enjoyed shopping along the boulevard sipping a coffee from The Galley Grille Pub and roaming the streets with an ice cream. We've tasted the beers at The Bayside Brewery, dined on seafood at Molly & OJ’s and danced to live music at the Sandbar at night.

During one of our getaways to the Motel in September 2017, the owners informed us that they were ready to retire. Hearing that news ended up being day one of our exciting new journey in putting a plan together to purchase the motel.

We’re so thrilled for this adventure and appreciate all the support from our family and friends. 

FAST FORWARD ....

 What an experience and journey we're on!  We couldn't be happier.  Over the last few years we've dealt with a lot, facing higher than normal water levels in 2019 and most recently navigating through the Coronavirus Pandemic.  Incredibly, we've survived, and established ourselves some amazing and loyal guests and friendships during this time.  Over the last 5 years, we've replaced all the furniture in the rooms, painted the motel, new lighting  and eaves troughs.  We built a beautiful deck for our guests to enjoy a fire or game of pool, and upgraded our internet system.  In the spring of 2021 we rebuilt all our docks, and made our marina a 10/10 for our boating friends.  In 2022 we renovated the motel bathrooms.  In 2023 we finally put out some signage and new lighting on the waterfront.  Who knows what's in store for the next 5 years!

YOU CAN CANCEL YOUR RESEVATION 14 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL AT NO CHARGE.  IF CANCELLED LESS THAN 14 DAYS YOU WILL BE CHARGED 50% OF YOUR BOOKING.  ANY CANCELLATONS WITHIN 7 DAYS OF YOUR AGREED UPON CHECK IN DATE YOU WILL BE CHARGED 100% OF THE BOOKING (effective November 1st, 2021).  We appreciate your understanding, and hope you can respect how we must proceed as a business.  

The Erie-O Motel, it is located at 840 Ross Lane, right on Rondeau Bay with access to the waters of Lake Erie.

Our Marina has 14 boat slips available for daily, weekly or seasonal rentals, as well as a boat ramp in our marina for guests and locals. We supply water activities such as kayaks and canoes, but please feel free to bring your own if you have them, however, you will be responsible for your equipment.

We have 5 motel rooms that have fully equipped kitchens, bedroom, bathroom. We have 3 suite/cottages directly on Rondeau Bay that have full kitchens bedrooms, bathroom.

In addition, we have 2 large and clean standard rooms with 2 beds, washroom/shower, TV and a mini-fridge. All our rooms come with all the amenities of home, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, comfy beds, clean linens, bathroom towels, parking, key entry, AC, heat, with 2 cots available if needed.

All our guests can enjoy our “Peggy’s Cove” common area, situated on the bay. Here you can spend some time fishing, reading, swimming, or watching the beautiful sunsets Erieau has to offer. This is a nice place where friends and family can relax, enjoy and hang out. We also have BBQ’s and a bonfire area for our guests to share and enjoy.

The Erie -O Motel is easy to get to with excellent transport links across the province east and west from the Highway 401. We  are just a short drive southeast of where the 401 enters the town of Chatham Kent.

We are only an hour east of Windsor and the Ambassador Bridge to the USA. We are just an hour and a half from London, around 2 hours from Hamilton and 3 hours from Toronto. 

If you are looking for a leisurely coastal drive or motorcycle ride you will find Erieau on the picturesque Talbot Trail where you will drive through many small Lake Erie shorefront towns on your way to the beach community of Erieau, where the Erie-O Motel is located on a waterfront marina property facing Lake Erie's beautiful Rondeau Bay.
