Marina Facilities

The Erieau Motel & Marina on Rondeau Bay features 15 boat slips, a boat ramp, fish cleaning hut, extra washroom, and shower facilities, as well as some hydro hookups.

We encourage our guests to bring their vessels to the marina while they come to vacation at our motel. We're not a large marina and it's safe to say anything 20ft or under would be perfect for the majority of our spots.

If you're local to the area and interested in a seasonal rental, please contact us so that we can arrange this for you.

Erieau has some great eateries, and if boaters are interested in docking at our marina so that you can walk into town, and enjoy a meal, we encourage that too.

The wintertime also brings some ski-doo and ATV riders and ice fishing onto the ice, so we can get you right out onto the Bay from our motel ramp.

If you are interested in our marina services, you can give us a phone call or email or come to see us in person at any time.

Whether you are heading onto Rondeau Bay or Lake Erie for some hunting, fishing, boating, or swimming we will be here to help make that happen.

Rondeau Bay

The magnificent Rondeau Bay is a popular place for those looking for the perfect Southwest Ontario hot spot for a variety of watersports and activities.

Rondeau Bay is a popular location for those who enjoy canoeing, fishing, swimming, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, cruising and motorboats. The generally calm and shallow waters of Rondeau Bay also offer an excellent canoeing or kayaking experience.

Head out for the day and explore Rondeau’s marsh, one of the largest remaining coastal wetlands on the lower Great Lakes. While out on the Bay you can look for Spotted Gar at the water’s surface, bald eagles soaring overhead, bass jumping around, or possibly one of six turtle species swimming around your canoe.

Lake Erie

Lake Erie is Ontario’s southernmost waterway and is the fourth largest Great Lake with a length of 387 kilometers and width of 91 kilometers. It covers an area of more than 7,934 square kilometers and is fed by Lake St.Clair via the Detroit River and drains to the east into the Niagara River.

Lake Erie should be on every angler’s bucket list. The water and structure create the perfect habitat for so many species, from rainbow trout, to small and largemouth bass, with so many in between.

There are a number of access points in the Erieau area, including public boat launches like the Erieau Marina, Provincial Parks as well as right here at The Erie-O Motel & Marina.

Known for its excellent open and hard water fishing, Lake Erie is the place to be all year round.

During the winter you will see many people out ice fishing and enjoying the beauty of this winter wonderland.

If you enjoy being underwater then Lake Erie is your place for Scuba diving. Deep below Lake Erie’s surface, divers can explore exciting shipwrecks. Lake Erie is a favorite for divers since there are many shipwrecks. Weekend charters are available for novice or advanced divers with departures right from Erieau. The Erieau Public Beach is also along Lake Erie, and with its warm waters, it makes it a great place for swimming and enjoying all sorts of water activities. During the boating season, you will see several vessels out enjoying all it has to offer.

With so much to see and do, it’s easy to see why so many people describe Lake Erie as the greatest of the Great Lakes.
