Marina Facilities

Located on Rondeau Bay with access to Lake Erie, boaters and water sports fans are invited to check out the private marina facilities at the Erie-O Motel & Marina. We encourage our guests to bring their vessels to the marina while they come to vacation at our motel. We're not a large marina and it's safe to say anything 20 ft or under would be perfect for the majority of our spots. Guests and visitors have access to:

  • Our private boat ramp and launch. Do not launch your boat without management being aware you're on property

  • A place to dock your boat: we have 14 slips in our marina

  • Fish cleaning facilities. An ideal place to fillet your catch after you have been out fishing all day

  • Public showers and washrooms

  • Hydro hookups

  • Outdoor BBQ facilities

Non-motel guests also have access to waterfront to fish, fish cleaning hut, BBQ, hydro, and guest washroom/shower.

Erieau has some great eateries, shopping, and events. Boaters are invited to at our marina so that they can explore the community.

The wintertime also brings some ski-doo and ATV riders and ice fishing onto the ice, so we can get you right out onto the Bay from our motel ramp.

Rondeau Bay

The magnificent Rondeau Bay is a popular destination for those seeking the perfect Southwest Ontario hotspot for a variety of watersports and activities.

Rondeau Bay is ideal for enthusiasts of canoeing, fishing, swimming, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, cruising, and motorboating. Its generally calm and shallow waters also provide an excellent experience for canoeing or kayaking.

Spend the day exploring Rondeau’s marsh, one of the largest remaining coastal wetlands in the lower Great Lakes. While out on the bay, keep an eye out for Spotted Gar gliding at the water’s surface, bald eagles soaring above, bass jumping nearby, or one of six turtle species swimming around your canoe.

Lake Erie

Lake Erie, Ontario’s southernmost waterway, is the fourth-largest of the Great Lakes, spanning 387 kilometers in length and 91 kilometers in width. Covering an area of over 7,934 square kilometers, it is fed by Lake St. Clair via the Detroit River and drains eastward into the Niagara River.

Lake Erie should be on every angler’s bucket list. Its waters and diverse structures create the perfect habitat for a wide range of species, including rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and many more.

The Erieau area offers numerous access points, including public boat launches like Erieau Marina, provincial parks, and right here at the Erie-O Motel & Marina.

Renowned for its excellent open-water and ice fishing, Lake Erie is a prime destination year-round. In winter, you’ll find many people ice fishing and enjoying the serene beauty of this frozen wonderland.

For those who love scuba diving, Lake Erie is an underwater paradise. Beneath its surface, divers can explore fascinating shipwrecks, making it a favorite among both novice and advanced divers. Weekend dive charters, departing right from Erieau, are available for exploration.

The Erieau Public Beach, located along Lake Erie, features warm waters perfect for swimming and various water activities. During boating season, the lake is dotted with vessels enjoying its many offerings.

With so much to see and do, it’s no wonder Lake Erie is often hailed as the greatest of the Great Lakes.
